"The Way of the Bodhisattva". Please see his letter about this directly below...
I'm writing to inform you that our esteemed KTD abbot, Khenpo Ugyen Tenzin, has asked to postpone his upcoming teaching weekend at Albany KTC due to unforeseen circumstances. He was very sorry about it but promised to come at a more favorable time after Losar. Nonetheless, since KTC has already sent out publicity for the weekend and to not leave the teaching weekend empty, I have decided, in consultation with the KTC executive committee, to substitute for him. Instead of teaching remotely from KTC, I will come to Albany to teach in the venerable Khenpo-la's place. Although I don't possess even a fraction of our venerable Khenpo's qualities of abandonment and realization, at this late date there is no way of finding a more qualified lama to do it. The published schedule will remain the same with the exception of the Sunday afternoon teaching session. The final teaching will take place on Sunday morning, February 12.
The teaching topic will be an introduction to Shantideva's extraordinary work entitled the Way of the Bodhisattva (the Bodhicharyavatara) on Saturday morning, February 11. The remaining two teaching sessions on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning will provide an initial explanation of chapter 6 of the Way of the Bodhisattva on the paramita of patience or forbearance. Khenpo Ugyen intended to give a general teaching on the Mahayana path and yet the Way of the Bodhisattva explains in a single volume the entirety of the Mahayana Dharma so there is no difference in meaning between the two in actuality. Additional details about the weekend can be found on the Albany KTC website.
Yours in Dharma,
Lama Zopa Tarchin
Albany KTC Center Lama
